A riddle

Sharp but dull
smooth with an inclined plane 
A mouses weapon against evil it will always reign.
This object is good for many things,
I put it in my sandwich.
If only it had little wings...
It would be fantastic!
To take it out of the oven clean,
everyone knows that it would mean,
That you have won the battle.
In fact,It's most important job,
Is to dislodge the kernel's  
from the cob. 
What am I?
