The power within

Whenever the Olympics come around, I never watch them. :) Sometimes I watch bits and pieces of my favorite competitions ( gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, etc...), but not often. Even so, I admire the athletes who compete because, of their commitment to their game. Because of their ability. Of their determination, confidence and perseverance. Because of their strength. These people are showing the world how great we can be if we just push forward and never give up. I have a problem with that, take piano for instance, i like to play but i never wanted to practice, so i never got better and i finally quit. This is not something that I am proud of but it is a learning experience. So these athletes are really inspirational to me. I like what Mia Hamm said:
"I've worked too hard and too long to let anything stand in the way of my goals. I will not let my teammates down and I will not let myself down."

Like each of us, they had a dream but they took it farther. They reached for the stars. And in the process became stars themselves. Bob Beamon said,

"If my dreams can happen to me, your dreams can happen to you. Champions are not made on the track or field; champions are made by the things you accomplish and the way you use your abilities in everyday life situations."

We should strive to have the qualities of an Olympian in our lives and dream big.
After all, you only live once.

Love always,

That random guy at the movie theater

So whenever I sit down to write a blog post, i end up not being able to think of anything meaningful to say so i post something dumb or simply give up and look at other peoples blogs... But I'm going to try and do better I promise. Just maybe not today.... today I have a funny story for you! :)
OK, so on Saturday Erynn's parents took us to see Batman: the dark knight rises. And we had some money left over so we decided to buy some candy... of course we couldn't decide what kind so we just got one of those little white bags and filled it with tons of candy. We didn't think that it would be that much. But when we went to check out, the total was $20.50!!!!!!!!!  ( it turned out to be 2.50 for one-fourth of a pound.. you do the math :) But me and Erynn only had eight dollars between us and we couldn't just put some of it back because it was all mixed up. So while erynn went to ask her rents for money, I stood awkwardly by the counter, waiting. And the guy was all like, "Wow. That a lot of candy!" to which I replied with a classy, "yep." :) Then Erynn came back with the money. But when we tried to give him the right amount, he was all like, "Oh, let me check the amount again..." then he was like, " your total is thirteen dollars." Thirteen dollars! That is a seven dollar discount! Wow. That random movie theater dude made my day. He was sooo nice. And he probably thought was were cute or something... but for whatever reason, it was great. When we went back to our seats, erynn gave her parents their money back and she was all like, " ummm... yeah.. so I read the price wrong... " hahaha :)

Have a great day!

The amazing spiderman

Oh. My. Gosh..... Last night my dad took me and erynn to see, spider man. It was so good! I can't even start to express how much I loved it. But I did love it. The movie was brilliant. Breathtaking. Beautiful. It was so wonderfully made too. This film made me laugh, it made me cry, full of romance and suspense, this was by far the best movie this summer. :) ( although I am probably going to say that about batman too... ) but what really made this movie great was the cast. So it is my pleasure to present to you, one of the most attractive men in the world, Andrew Garfield and the beautiful, Emma Stone...

yeah... i just can't get over this guy! :)
