DECEMBER

I can not believe that it is December already! It's seems to soon, but I'm not complaining. I adore December. Here are some of my favorite things/moments from December 2012 so far:

1. Christmas music ( I listen to it all the time. Like right now for instance )
2. Buying Gifts for people ( I love the feeling of getting the perfect gift for someone and watching their face light up. I also love receiving as well *< :))))))) - Santa Claus smiley face hehehe )
3.  Decorating
4. Baking cookies
5.  watching cheesy holiday movies
6. The anticipation of Christmas! :)

Fate hate: what does it have against me?

Fate hates me. I'm certain of it. Everything bad/awkward happens to me. I guess I'm the lucky one. For example, yesterday was thanksgiving. I already don't really like this holiday, because I don't eat meat and it just makes me feel fat. Nut this thanksgiving was by far the worst EVER. My family had dinner at the Carter's and you know, that was fine. But then at the end of the night, I sat in some jello and it stained my pants. On our way home, we picked up erynn to go Black Friday shopping with the lavamei's. at home, dad told everyone to take something in. I asked him to get the turkey, and he asked me. And neither of us realized it. So I took in the yams and the turkey, which I had been holding into previously, fell over. It crashed into the van floor, turkey intestines flying and grease splattering and pooling on the carpet. It was disgusting. And guess who had to clean it up? Yep. Yours truly. It was seriously the most disgusting thing that I have ever done. I don't do so well with barf, blood, or and bodily fluid for that matter. I am so thankful that erynn was there to help.
Eita called about black friday shopping just as we were finishing up. Instead of coming at a quarter to eleven, she was going to pick us up right then. That would have been fine, except  for the fact that I still had chores to do. So then eita and her cousin came over and mom yelled at them and erynn and sent everyone home. It was horrible. Absolutely horrible.

Acca-Awesome - " pitch perfect "

So I saw "pitch perfect" ( PG-13 ) last night with Alyssa, and it was acca-awesome... Sooooo halarious. New favorite movie, for sure. I mean, it was kind of bad and the vomit scene was super gross. But I loved it so much. And if you can't tell, I love fat Amy. :)

Fat Amy: Even though some of you are pretty thin, you all have fat hearts, and that's what counts.

Fat Amy: Les-be-honest.

Fat Amy: I'm gonna finish you like a cheesecake!

Fat Amy: Yeah, no, don't put me down for cardio.

  1. Bumper: I get the feeling that we should kiss... I mean is that a good feeling or, like, a wrong feeling?
  2. Fat Amy: Wellll, sometimes I feel like I could do crystal meth but then I think, hmm, better not.

  1. Chloe: What's your name?
  2. Fat Amy: Fat Amy.
  3. Aubrey: You call yourself Fat Amy?
  4. Fat Amy: Yeah, so twigs like you don't do it behind my back.

Jesse: Organized nerd singing? This is great!

Lilly: set fires to feel joy.
Donald: That's adorable.

Aubrey: Acca-scuse me?
Fat Amy:Acca-believe it.

Fat Amy: I can sing, but I'm also good at modern dance, olden dance, and mermaid dancing which is a little different. You usually start on the ground.
Aubrey: Ooh.
Fat Amy: It's a lot of floor work.
Aubrey: I see that.

In other news, erynn was over last night. ( like an hour ago- because it's like 12:10 right now... And we had a ton of fun and we laughed a ton but it was a tiny bit ( ok, really, awkward. ) because that's just how I roll... I'm not going to go into detail but it was terribly funny. :)

Anyway, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Eat to your hearts content, then go Black Friday shopping! That's what I'll be doing! Goodnight y'all! :)

Love always, Sierra

P.S. I'm listening to Christmas music right now and I'm loving it! Even if it is before Thanksgiving.... I don't care. :) I'm so happy!

Halloween

Ever since I was twelve, the year that I had to stop trick or treating, Halloween has been really dull.  One year I had a party/ haunted house, but it just wasn't the same. Last year and this year, I was grounded. :)  So I didn't do anything to celebrate, except for the ward carnival. Which was pretty fun.... Here's the crew!

Eric, Adam, Alyssa, Avonlea, Me, and Moroni

The power within

Whenever the Olympics come around, I never watch them. :) Sometimes I watch bits and pieces of my favorite competitions ( gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, etc...), but not often. Even so, I admire the athletes who compete because, of their commitment to their game. Because of their ability. Of their determination, confidence and perseverance. Because of their strength. These people are showing the world how great we can be if we just push forward and never give up. I have a problem with that, take piano for instance, i like to play but i never wanted to practice, so i never got better and i finally quit. This is not something that I am proud of but it is a learning experience. So these athletes are really inspirational to me. I like what Mia Hamm said:
"I've worked too hard and too long to let anything stand in the way of my goals. I will not let my teammates down and I will not let myself down."

Like each of us, they had a dream but they took it farther. They reached for the stars. And in the process became stars themselves. Bob Beamon said,

"If my dreams can happen to me, your dreams can happen to you. Champions are not made on the track or field; champions are made by the things you accomplish and the way you use your abilities in everyday life situations."

We should strive to have the qualities of an Olympian in our lives and dream big.
After all, you only live once.

Love always,
Sierra Dawn
